The DWP get it right (again)
Just saw the story in the news feed that only 8% of refused PIPS claims are overturned on appeal.
This raises some possibilities
i) DWP do in fact get it right most of the time.
ii) If this is compared with the 70+% of successful appeals the figures only show how reluctant claimants are to have an appeal.
iii) this is misleading story which will only discourage claimants from lodging an appeal

While I agree the sentiment you are not comparing like with like. Not all appeals are to challenge a refusal of PIP. Many, if not most, are to challenge the level of PIP awarded.
