Old Invalid Care Allowance rules

Hoping someone can help out here. Looking for details on the rules on Invalid Care Allowance prior to changeover to Carers Allowance.

Was it not a condition that in the event the person been cared for died the carer could have continued indefinite entitlement to the carers premium as part of their Pension credit?? Also think their would be transitional protection in these cases following the changeover to Carers Allowance.
Would highly appreciate some direction in this area. (also date of when Carers Allowance took over from ICA)

You are right, The Regulatory Reform (Carer’s Allowance) order 2002, SI 2002/1457, art 4 is what you are looking for

Many thanks for that. Just what I was looking for.

The article relates to a man reaching 65…...would it be the same for a woman reaching 60 before that date??
