If sick pay is earned income, does the work allowance continue at the same rate (£198 in this case) when sp switches from full pay to 50%?

Yes the work allowance just applies to whatever earned income there is - whether it’s SSP, contractual sick pay or ordinary earnings :)

That’s what I thought -
Claimant is an EEA National who stopped work because of a spinal injury at work.
Has 2 dep children enrolled in school - UC is very insistent that they will not be paid the full amount.
