7 days for accepting claimant commitment?

Recently appealed a decision to close a UC claim because the claimant hadn’t been given adequate opportunity to accept a new (apparently unchanged) claimant commitment.

The DWP changed their decision before it got to Tribunal and I attach a scan of the latest MRN (anonymised).

Troubled by reference to “7 days” for acceptance of claimant commitment.

Thoughts?

Now realise that 7 days is in line with the DWP’s policy, as set out in previous FOI response:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/414606/response/1021568/attach/3/2610 Reply.pdf?cookie_passthrough=1

“The claimant commitment must be drawn up and either sent to the claimant in advance of the scheduled meeting or sent to the claimant after the meeting, allowing an additional 7 days for the claimant to accept it.”

*smacks forehead*

I’m as troubled by the “We are committed to treating people fairly…”.

Maybe the comma afterwards is a typo ; )

Found this on the Public law project website, it looks a useful tool to encourage claimants to take to interview
