Is it possible to submit and appeal to HMCTS electronically?
Is there any possibility to admit an appeal online i.e. via email?
I note some trials about this for PIP so guessing it is a no
If it is a no is there any specific REG that states that this is the case i.e. has to be in writing/post?
Many thanks in advance
I have certainly lodged one by email.
What are they going to do? Claim they didn’t receive it?
No - haven’t submitted it - was very close to the deadline when client approached - can’t actually see an email address etc for this - we only have the local office (Sutton) and not Bradford
Be great to know how you emailed, or rather where you emailed it to?
Cheers
HMCTS Liverpool.
I’m not alone in doing that either.
That’s our standard way of submitting SSCS1’s (and additional evidence) to HMCTS Glasgow. We use a secure email system as we are a local authority so that might be an issue for some.
So, Mike, you just send to your local office, have Sutton’s email so if that is the case, then problem solved
Look forward to your reply
Thanks to both for your time

Yes, have backed off from doing so recently as the backlog for dealing with emails seems to be almost as bad as the backlog for listings but it’s very handy if you’re on duty and a client needs to appeal “today” or similar. I know there’s negligible issue with getting late appeals admitted nowadays but it’s useful to assuage the anxiety level even if it’s not practically required.
At present Liverpool have yet to reply to emails I sent in February and March (not SSCS1s) but I figure that’s their problem not mine. It will ultimately come back and bite them when we get to a hearing.
Mind you, one was a simple “Any plans for a TUG?” request so that could have just been wilfully ignored.
Mike,
Nice one - any chance of a TUG, reminds me of Rodney Marsh quote - playing for England, and Alf Ramsay says I’m going to pull you off at half time, really he says, all we get at City is an orange. I’ll get me coat.
Thanks again.

I fear this thread is in danger of taking a funny turn :)
