Any targets for time to provide SORs or leave to appeal?

Does anyone know if the Tribunal Service have target times for providing a statement of reasons
or for replying to a request to the FTT for leave to appeal?

I keep being told that the file is with the Judge and applications are dealt with in date order.

Thanks

There’s a general one month time for supplying SORs or ‘as soon as reasonably practicable’ beyond that - Rule 34(5) Tribunal Procedure (First-tier Tribunal) (Social Entitlement Chamber) Rules 2008.

For responding to permission requests it’s ‘as soon as practicable’ under Rule 39(3). Maybe try referring to your local tribunal user group to see if there is a systemic issue that needs tackling.

Hi there

I had an issue with a Judge who fell ill while I awaited SoRs for three clients.  You can request that the decision is set aside, quoting the regs highlighted in the other reply you received.  This was granted in all three cases.
