I’m doubting myself. If a claimant moves into a LA funded care home and DLA care stops after 28 days, should the SDP stop at the same time?

Yes it does stop.

Thanks Paul. For some reason I got to thinking that as the claimant had an underlying entitlement, maybe the SDP would continue. And it’s not even Friday.

No worries Phil.

Obviously, this doesn’t apply if they are a self funder as payment of DLA or AA should continue, so SDP can continue with PC.

Similarly, if someone is receiving local authority funding because of a deferred payment agreement being put into place, their disability benefit should also continue to be paid as well as any SDP applicable.
