Slight change of plan .....

It seems that, while the Fantasy Football people are supporting the continuation of ‘Classic’ leagues, they brought ‘Head-to-Head’ leagues (like ours) to an end in Gameweek 38 .... and so are not setting up head to head fixtures for us for the last nine games or, I assume, updating our table 😞

And so, in the spirit of finishing the season, I think we need to do it ourselves .... 🙂

To this end, if we all make our transfers and play the game online as normal, I’ll undertake to keep our league going here, and will provide updated scores and tables after each gameweek ..... I’ve attached here our current standings and you’ll see that I’ve set up head to head fixtures to see us through to the end of the season

NB - re the fixtures ... I’ve needed to create these from scratch, so you may find that you’re playing people that you already played before ... but, they have been created randomly, and I’m pretty sure that no one is playing each other more than once during these 9 games ...

I think that will work .... 😂

Cheers -Shawn

Wow Shawn. This is a supreme effort on your part. Jolly well done! Transfers made and all set for a socially-distanced virtual kick-off. ????⚽️????

I’m probably being a bit think but the league table in your spreadsheet shows everyone having played 38 games already?

Yeah, what they did was to assume that every game that didn’t get played ended up as a nil-nil draw, so everyone got a point per match ... here’s their version: https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/87452/standings/h

In that case, I propose we do a points per game league table, otherwise I’m joining Hearts and going to court….

So ... the eight teams with De Bruyne as captain very happy bunnies this morning ...

(... less so, the four teams with David Luiz at the heart of their defence ...)

Anyone with David Luiz in the heart of their defence needs their head examining….

Can’t believe that on a week where my score beat 14 out of 22 teams, I still lost.

In common with others can I express my appreciation to Shawn for the updates. Not to make excuses but to do so anyway this is the first update I have been able to access since the start of the season. Mon The Mirren has been operating under the penalty of an omerta, transfer ban,  inability to change team captain, exclusion from use of bench boost etc. All imposed by UEFA for the misdemeanour of loss of login email address and password. The various penalties will remain in place until the end of the season. Pending, however, appeal against any relegation decision Mon The Mirren will return to full competitive mode next season.

Eh the Bud, Bud, Buddies!

Sorry to dive into this. We’ve had murders in my mates group with the fixtures for head to head leagues.

We eventually noticed that the results 0-0 were all lined up anyway so the fixtures are still there. So we generated our fixtures from the results page for fairness rather than generating new fixtures. That way it all flows. So whoever you were due to play in GW30 would be your first fixture after project restart.  Then we also generated a manual league table of course.

Of course it entirely depends how competitive this gets haha. We’ve already had calls to void the season on the 2nd week, but mainly because of Son’s disallowed goal!

Still not sure why they decided not to update head to head leagues.

So that’s game week 34+ done and dusted ... great scoring from SomerUpsetters, Worse than the V*lla, Too Mané Men, Taking Liberty’s, and Tandoori Toon .... all with 80+ ....

6 of the top 7 seven teams all won, but another honourable mention to River Platt who continue their winning streak ... now 5 wins out of 5 ....

(As a result, I’ve now also done a league table which only takes into account the post-lockdown games, with River Platt of course riding high ... see attached)

Next up we have:

- Duquesne Whistlers v Taking Liberty’s
- Fletty’s Flops v River Platt
- Tandoori Toon v SomerUpsetters
- dynamo rangers v Too Mané Men
- Filbert the Fox v LAG Wanderers
- Worse than the V*lla v Shrikee City
- Spurs home at last! v colefrod clarets
- MON THE MIRREN v Lingardium Leviosa
- HopenotHate Rangers v Clash City Rockers
- Silva lining v Kopaloada
- Sunderbutnotover v AVERAGE

Transfer deadline is: Sat 11 July at 11:30am

Here we go .... with now just three games left (starting tonight!) ...

River Platt is seemingly unstoppable over the post-lockdown mini-season ... now six wins out of six ... can MON THE MIRREN (no wins so far) stop them this game week?

There’s also a strong chasing pack in the post-lockdown league, with Worse than the V*lla in second place still unbeaten (five wins and a draw), and then 8 teams sharing 12 points from 3rd down to 10th ....

Meanwhile, in the full season table, there’s now -

- a three-way tie at the top: Too Mané Men; dynamo rangers; and Lingardium Leviosa
- 7 teams battling for Eurapean places: Worse than the V*lla; Taking Liberty’s; Spurs home at last!; Sunderbutnotover; SomerUpsetters; Filbert the Fox; and colefrod clarets
- with MON too far adrift, four teams battling against the drop: Shrikee City: Kopaloada; Silva lining; and Duquesne Whistlers

Next up:

- SomerUpsetters v Sunderbutnotover
- Too Mané Men v Lingardium Leviosa
- LAG Wanderers v Clash City Rockers
- Shrikee City v Kopaloada
- Duquesne Whistlers v AVERAGE
- Fletty’s Flops v HopenotHate Rangers
- Tandoori Toon v Silva lining
- Filbert the Fox v dynamo rangers
- Worse than the V*lla v colefrod clarets
- Spurs home at last! v Taking Liberty’s
- MON THE MIRREN v River Platt

Trasnsfer deadline is tonight at 19:15

He did it 😂 .... with just two game weeks left, MON’s off the mark in the mini-season ... and would you believe it ... it’s at the expense of River’s 100% record ...

Great scoring this week too from HopenotHateRangers and colefrod clarets .. both in the 70s (colefrod clarets are the form team, having won their last five ...)

In the post-lockdown mini season, it’s first against second this week (River Platt v Worse than the V*lla) ...

.. meanwhile, in the full season league, it’s down to three teams for the title (Too Mané Men, dynamo rangers, and Lingardium Leviosa)

Next up:

- Too Mané Men v Sunderbutnotover
- LAG Wanderers v colefrod clarets
- HopenotHate Rangers v Lingardium Leviosa
- Silva lining v Spurs home at last!
- MON THE MIRREN v Kopaloada
- Shrikee City v AVERAGE
- Duquesne Whistlers v SomerUpsetters
- Clash City Rockers v Fletty’s Flops
- dynamo rangers v Tandoori Toon
- Filbert the Fox v Taking Liberty’s
- Worse than the V*lla v River Platt

Transfer deadline is 16:30 today ... ⚽ ⚽ ⚽

Almost there ...

And we have a winner in the mini lockdown league ....  despite the great efforts of colefrod clarets, who’s put together a run of 6 straight wins, River Platt is over the line with an unassailable lead of 4 points with just one game to play ... fantastic work ...

.... all to play for for second place though, with 10 teams covered by just 3 points 😂

Meanwhile over in the full season league, well ... it’s all very exciting ... only 2 of the top 7 teams won this game week, and we have a three-way tie at the top with Too Mané Men, dynamo rangers, and Lingardium Leviosa all on 85 points ....

Key games this weekend to decide the title therefore will be:

- Too Mané Men v River Platt
- dynamo rangers v Fletty’s Flops
- Lingardium Leviosa v LAG Wanderers

(Of course I (dynamo rangers) will be very much hoping that the aforementioned River Platt can keep their exemplary form going for a little longer ...)

Elsewhere we have:

- Coleford clarets v HopenotHate Rangers
- Clash City Rockers v Kopaloada
- AVERAGE v Silva lining
- Worse than the V*lla v Tandoori Toon
- Spurs home at last! v SomerUpsetters
- MON THE MIRREN v Duquesne Whistlers
- Filbert the Fox v Sunderbutnotover
- Shrikee City v Taking Liberty’s

Transfer deadline is Sunday at 15:00 hrs ⚽ ⚽ ⚽
