clients are Nigerian parents with NRPF Work only Visa whose son has been diagnosed with Autism, Son was born in the UK in 2018, CPAG includes DLA as public funds but since the child was born after the Visa was granted and they are not included on either partners visa does this have any significance at all? As the DLA will be for the child??
Any clarification greatly appreciated

The claimant is the child and it is his immigration status that determines whether or not he is entitled to DLA; also he will be the public funds recipient.

If his parents have limited leave with NRPF, then being born in Britain will not automatically confer British citizenship on him.  As I understand it, children born to parents with leave to enter/remain are usually granted leave that expires at the same time as their parents’ leave and has the same conditions so they will probably find that their child has NRPF too, which means he will not be entitled to DLA.  But I don’t know enough about the immigration rules to be sure about the child’s status so their first step would be to sort that out.  There might be a fee for the child’s application for leave.
