Hello
If one member of a couple has LCWRA and they have a baby, can they nominate the other as responsible carer so that neither has work-related requirements for the first year? And is there a reference anyone can point me to?
Thanks

If the person with LCWRA cannot have a work-related requirement imposed on them, then this should work?

Yes - one in the responsible carer and the other one has LCWRA - therefore no work-related requirements for either of them as guidance shows :)

They can nominate a primary carer and the work-related requirements for the carer will be based on the youngest child. Where the child is under one that would place them into the no-work related requirements group.
