Just need to vent.

Client with autism and a tendency to agree with whatever is said to him lost his PIP after a telephone assessment. The appeal bundle states that his Additional Support Marker (the idea presumably being it’s a warning to a DM that he lacks insight) was changed to No based on his being able to complete the telephone assessment unaided.

Unbelievable! Have you resolved it? I would be happy to flag that up via stakeholders if you want to email/DM me details

DWP have said to me that this is an isolated case and vulnerability markers are not removed ‘just like that’ - I’d be interested to hear if anyone has any similar cases where marker have been removed inappropriately - hopefully there aren’t - but just in case….
