Are there any details of this?

I can’t find any.

Now got someone resident in UK since childhood with a no right to reside decision, no money, no food - decision made on 18/4/18.

Told to wait until 24/5/18 for an immigration appointment - 70 miles away.

From Home Office guidance on the Windrush team (that includes phone and email contacts) -

This team aims to resolve all cases within 2 weeks of all of the information being pulled together.

... so no express commitment to fast track initial evidence gathering it seems.

Also, the recent urgent bulletin to local authorities gives a DWP email contact for them to hurry things along in cases of delay, so would hope that HMRC and DWP offices making RTR decisions will have similar contacts we can push them to use?
