My client lost her husband and claimed BB. She only receives £55.25 per week. As I understand it she cannot claim IS to top up and her only options are JSA or ESA, is that right?

I was trying to avoid further complications as the husbands death was criminal, there is a court case due and the client herself has a mild learning disability and was a victim of domestic violence. I'm sure I can claim ESA process successfully I was just hoping to avoid it.

Any loopholes? TIA.
