Hungarian friendly Charities doing grants for Cookers.
Fri 01-May-09 10:55 AM

We've got a Hungarian Ceramicist, on WTC/CTC and HB/CTB, she's a lone parent and badly (lives in the middle of nowhere) needs a grant to get a cooker.

Anyone know of any organisations please?

Try The Family Welfare Association Grants (0207 254 6251) or Family Service Units (0207 402 5175).

Also the charity gingerbread may be able to point you in the right direction (0808 808 8090).

If she can’t get a grant and is in an emergency there is always a crisis loan.

Regards

She does mean a cooker for food and not a kiln for her pottery? Only wondering.

Definitely a cooker, but has had problems with her kiln relating to the computery thermostat bit.

If you've got ideas concerning funding community work she wants to do e.g. outdoor projects involving advantaged and disadvantaged groups, we could pass on to her, i'm sure she would be really interested.
