Just want clarification on whether retirement pension income is counted net of tax when for Pension Credit entitlement purpose. Have a client who paid tax at the end of the financial year as his income from retirement pension is so high, he has been getting pension credit, should not the tax be taken account and he be paid more Pension Credit as a consequence?

Did see where a similar issue was raised in March 2005 by JohnA, but as per his second reply was unable to access the signpost that he listed to Rightsnet News.
