I am looking for policies or guidance that Children's departments have developed on this

e.g. Is the DLA put into a savings account for the child ? Is it used to certain criteria e.g. allocated for additional hobbies or holidays or therapies for the child ? Is it left to be used to the Foster parent's discretion ? Do the Social Workers or Care Managers work out individual financial plans?
What about Motability cars?
Is there any guidance given when children enter into Special Guardianship status?

Have there ever been any legal challenges on its use ?
