Here's one I've not had to consider before. Can anyone help? When a person is entitled to continue to receive Carer's Allowance for up to 8 weeks after the person's death but does not in fact receive it due to receiving an overlapping benefit such as Bereavement Allowance, does s/he retain underlying entitlement for the purpose of getting the carer's premium included in the applicable amount for the purposes of CTB. Its late on Friday and I'm too tired to look it up.

It does not matter that the entitlement continues or not the carer premium entitlement always continues for eight weeks after carers stops.
Although you dont get the carers allwoance continuing for eight weeks following a death and then another eight weeks carer premium, its one or the other but not both.
