Hi

Just a reminder of the next NAWRA meeting which all members (and those who would like to be members!) are welcome to attend.

Hosted by Edinburgh City Council @ Midlothian Suite, Lothian Chambers, 59-63 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1RN

The venue is diagonally opposite Deacon Brodies bar at the top of The Mound. (See multimap link http://www.multimap.com/s/h0DTwov6).

For information about visiting Edinburgh, go to www.edinburgh.org. There are some excellent deals on hotels available but you are advised to book early!

As soon as the agenda is finalised this will be posted on RightsNet and on NAWRAs own website at www.nawra.org.uk.

Look forward to seeing you in Edinburgh!

Best wishes,

Alan Markey

Hi

Just a couple of updates on the next NAWRA meeting.

Firstly, apologies for the delay but the final agenda should now be out before the end of this week. As a sneak preview, I can tell you that workshops will cover:

- Decision making and appeals
- Tax Credits and people from abroad
- DWP self-service project and the Benefits Adviser calculator

There will also be a session, as part of the main meeting, looking at experiences to date with Employment and Support Allowance.

Secondly, as meetings in Scotland are generally quite popular, we are asking people to book a place at the meeting. To do so, please go to http://nawra.org.uk/schedule.htm and download the booking form.

There will be a social evening on the Thursday night (and possibly another on the Friday!) so watch this space for details.

Hope to see you there!

Alan Markey
NAWRA chairperson

Hi again

The final agenda is now available at www.nawra.org.uk/schedule.htm. In addition to the workshops, there will be an essential plenary session looking at experiences to date with Employment & Support Allowance. Don't miss it!

The meeting is likely to be well attended so can I please remind you to register for a place in advance by using the booking form on the website? If you just turn up, we cannot guarantee you will get in!

For those arriving on Thursday, and those who just want to be social, we are meeting at the Guildford Arms on West Register Street (2 mins walk from Waverley Station). Full details with the agenda.

Best wishes - see you in Edinburgh.

Alan Markey
NAWRA Chairperson
