How not to learn from mistakes!
Thu 26-Oct-06 04:04 PM

This is an extract from the news story today about the CSA:

"In evidence to the Commons Public Accounts Committee yesterday, Mr Lewis said that the child support system has been flawed from its inception: its design was too complex; it was introduced too quickly; and the supporting IT only recently became effective".

Replace "child support" with "tax credits". Sound familiar?

Replace "child support" with "DWP customer managment system". Sound familiar?

Any other replacements...???

I'm thinking replace "child support" with "whole benefits" right now.

But i've just been reading the stuff on the benefits and work website about the changes to IB and in a couple of years you'll be able to substitute it with "Employment and Support Allowance" or "Limited Capability for Work-Related Activity (LCWRA) test"...

Groundhog Day. The whole thing is really quite frighening. Here's some bedtime reading for you, if you haven't seen it already.
