Our housing benefit staff (after usual checks and training) have access to benefit information held by the DWP - the range of benefits currently in payment, date of award etc. They also have access to DCI.
The DWP is going to give access to this information to CABx towards the end of 2007 and then other organisations in 2008. They also have the "My DWP" project to give access to claimants about their own benefit information.
So my question is has anyone considered/asked about/tried to get access for welfare rights?
Would be interested to find out what the response has been so far.
