Charges applicable whilst in Hospital
Tue 23-Mar-10 08:25 AM

Hello everyone. When a person is admitted into hospital for a period or periods, do the charges s/he usually has to meet for the supported accommodation still have to be met for that supported accommodation while s/he is in hospital? It's just that I have a client who has spent some time in hospital and the supported accommodation charges are being placed on his rent account as arrears. The eligible rent is being met via Housing Benefit as is proper.

Thank you.

Patrick.

If he's getting housing benefit are the support costs not covered by Supporting People?
