Urgent cases payments
Fri 12-Feb-10 10:20 AM

Hi all
this is probably a very basic query but cant seem to put my finger on the answer!
Following the changes in Urgent cases payments on 25th january I'm aware that if there is a temporary disruption of funds from abroad there will no longer be a reduced amount of IS/IB JSA for 42 days - rather the claimant will receive the full amount.
Can anyone please confirm what will happen to sponsored people whose sponsor has died within the first 5 years - will they also receive full amount of benefit or will their's still be resticted to 90% of personal allowance? also are the capital rules the same - ie tariff income starting straightaway rather than £6,000/£10,000?
Any assistance gratefully recieved

Thanks jane
