Hi I am in need of some assistance from you clever people Client is from Bulgaria and has been working in UK from 2007 as self-employed. His son was with him since 2008 and wife and daughter were coming to UK on and off. They made a claim for Child Benefits in April 2009, they received a letter from the benefits agency requesting some information about their traveling times etc. they completed it and sent it back; Since May they have not heard back from CB so made a call end of June and were told that all is fine with their claim and soon they will have a decision. In July they called again and were told that they have to wait 26 weeks and that the time limits are always changing.
I find this strange as it seems CB can use excuses such as " we have a lot of claims to deal with". i find this unacceptable.
Is there a dead line in which they have to look into a claim?
