Engaging Physicians, Benefiting Patients – What was it all about?
Tue 07-Sep-04 04:09 PM

came across this recently .... its a DWP pack they used in a series of presentations headed 'Engaging Physicians, Benefiting
Patients' ...

... the purpose of the sessions was to "illustrate to GPs the importance of the information they provide to DWP on behalf of their patients who are claiming a state incapacity benefit."

...includes a true or false quiz!! .... have fun !

In a recent liaison meeting with pathways to work we were told that staff would soon be going out to local Doctor's surgeries to discuss the issues mentioned (evidence on Med 4 etc) but we were not told that there had been a pilot on this already.
In fairness (if it wasn't for the potential hidden agenda) I must admit that I like the principle because it could help to prevent some people being send before boards.
On the other hand it could also help to consolidate the inadequate computer test for those who are still called.
Also, but this is probably cynical, is this the first step to a computer multiple choice programme for the GP's in line with the medical board programme?
