Cooking Test for Attendance Allowance

This is not my area of expertise and so I'm slightly confused!

Does the cooking test apply for AA or just low rate DLA?

My instincts are telling me it doesn't and that you need wider care needs to be awarded AA.

DLA only I'm afraid. There is no specific cooking test in AA. However, a person who can cook but needs help (partially sighted for instance) can aggregate that help (attention in connection with the bodily function of seeing) with any other help in order to qualify, if the total help amounts to frequent attention throughout the day.

Note, the help has to be given to a person while he is doing/trying to do something for himself. It cannot count if a task is done for a person and not in the person's presence. (the remoteness test).
