final complaint to DWP
Tue 09-Mar-04 11:53 AM

Please can someone give me the details that I need to make a final complaint about delays with an Income Support claim going back to September 2003. I have tried all local options, which have failed. I have also sent all paperwork to Quarry House at Leeds, but the Chief Executive has moved to London, and the advice at Quarry House was also poor so I guess it's now the Parliamentary Ombudsman. Is there anyone else I should contact before the PO?

Many thanks

You need to involve the local MP the DWP are obliged to responsed in a set period to him/her.A week ?, or there abouts . If they fail to do so or the response is not satisfactory then the MP can refer your case to the Parliamentary Ombudsman. It rarely gets that far , a MPs letter is usually enough to get things moving.

Good Luck
