One of our clients has child addition premium included in his Incapacity Benefit, we contacted PC in Nov 04 to remind them that this should no longer be included when calculating qualifying income for PC. They corrected their error and backdated to Oct 03. In January client got new letter due to change in circs, the Child Addition was wrongly included, after a phone call they changed it again. In his April uprating the Child Addition was included again and I have rang them, they have apologised and state that as this is a rare occurence their system is not set up to recognise this and they have to do it manually and as they get thousands of claims they just take the IB as a total.
This raises concerns that this is happening all over the country does anyone have any info on how their regional PC office deal with this?
