mortgage interest payments
Tue 18-May-04 10:27 AM

hi everyone,

a question: claimant making a claim for jsa (income based). claimant partner had been in recipt of i.s for a number of years for herself and claimant, due to her incapacity to work. dwp decided she failed to attend medical examination in connection with ib and was deemed incapable of work and i.s stopped. during tis period claimant had also been in recipt of c.a for a daugher (not now).

clamiant has made a claim for jsa, the question is will they have a waiting time for mortgage interest payments or should they be treated as having spent waiting time and be entitled straight away??

thnka you in advance to all those who can help.

If the gap is less than 12 weeks the claims should be linked for this purpose (longer linking rules apply in some special circumstances). Hopefully that will cover it.
Has he appealled the ICB decision ?
