SF delays

The Milton Keynes BDC are 2.5 to 3 months behind with CCG reviews.

What's it like in other offices around the country?

a member of staff at the birmingham office admitted to taking up to 14 weeks to process a CCG claim, which is shocking.

thats assuming you can get through to them to order a form in the first place! i recently phoned them everyday for seven days, approx 10 times daily and never managed to get anyone to answer my call. i have the benefit of a company phone and a redial button, what about those on a low income and pay as you go rates

In response to the last post, and not to defend the level of service, but you can download a claim form from the JC Plus website.

Hi

We deal with the MK office - for the last review we did they were 4 months behind, so they've speeded up!

I worked with CPAG on that one. They were (in Dec) looking for test cases to take to judicial review - the issue being the length of delay in processing reviews. You might want to contact them to see if this is still an issue they are interested in?

That case was resolved possibly with the threat of a JR. Possibly though because I received a JCP+ partners newsletter that gave out direct line numbers at MK for social fund disputes. I can't remember if this is my own fantasy now but I'm sure (unwittingly) I used the number given for CCG reviews and ended up phoning the service manager/head of dept as it was her number that had been advertised - the case was sorted successfully in 24 hrs!

If you email me your fax I will try to locate the newsletter and fax it to you. Have had a quick scout through my interesting bits to keep pile but can't immediately locate it....

I echo the comments about the telephone service - of course the other issue is what to do if you can't use a phone (eg deaf)/concentrate/articulate clearly etc.

Hey ho - its Friday - I hope that's of some help
