One of those questions that you don't like to ask...

I feel this is a silly question (but it is Friday...)

My client was refused JSA on 1 April as he failed RTR.

On 20th April, he was sent a further refusal letter for failing to sign on. He didn't sign on because he wasn't entitled according to the first refusal.

If the RTR appeal is successful and my client hasn't appealed the failure to sign decision and/or submitted a new claim, will arrears be limited to the date of the second decision?

Benefit should be paid from the date of the rtr decision. The requirement to sign on lapses once a negative decision is made on a claim (see cjsa/1080/2002).
