PC and housing costs
Tue 06-Dec-05 03:29 PM

Hello everyone

I have a client whose PC includes money for her mortgage interest and her service charges under the catch-all "housing costs". So far so good.

She also has a second mortgage taken out to pay for plumbing costs and repairs in the very same home.

Is she entitled to help with the interest on this second mortgage as a loan which helps her keep her home in a habitable condition?

Thanks for any advice you can offer

Dan

Dan,

Paragraph 12, Schedule 2, State Pension Credit Regulations sets out what loans are eligible for help. It sets out what repairs and improvements Pension Credit can help with.
