Second adult rebate
Fri 23-Jun-06 11:47 AM

Quick question - answer needed today preferably (I have impatient staff!!!).

PC is awarded and backdated 12 months with CTB then going back for the same period. Can second adult rebate be automatically backdated on this basis for offspring of client (PC claimant) who lives with them? Offspring is liable person for CT.

I am a bit confused -are you saying both the liable person and the second adult are in receipt of PC? If the liable person was awarded PC i would assume they have 12 months to claim 2AR. On the other hand if the laible person is not on a pensioner I would have thought the normal rules apply re date of claim. The laible person would have to show good cause for backdating.
Hope this helps
