residence order allowance and CTC
Mon 18-May-09 03:53 PM

Hi fellow advisers,

Just a quickie.

I have a client who was recently informed by TCO that ROA is now taken into account in full when assessing WTC and CTC!!

Client has normal level of ROA so I think it should be disregarded as per para 11(b) of table 6 in Regulation 19 of the TC(DCI) Regs.

Has this Regulation been amended recently or are the TCO talking out of their nether regions, as per..?

Cheers

P

As far as I know residence order payments are still made by a local authority are ignored as income for tax and tax credit purposes.
