Fri 18-Feb-05 12:57 PM

Hello

Got a gentleman client just turned 60 who is currently in receipt of Reduced earning allowance at £168 pw, Carer's Allowance, D.L.A MC LM. Wife (59) is in receipt of S.D.A, D.L.A HC HM and has underlying entitlement to CA.Please excuse my ignorance but is the R.E.A taken into consideration in calculating P.C (G)?

Your help is most appreciated.

It appears so. Look in toolkit for Regulation 15 (1) The State Pension Credit Regulations 2002 No. 1792.

I am quite clear it counts as income, because it is part of industrial injuries benefit (unless it is a non partner dependents addition etc). I could immediately see this in s15 of the Act or reg 15 of SI 1792, so I am pretty sure it is one of the amending regs.
