An old chestnut here. Does anyone know if the case of Barber v Sof S 2002 is the authoratative case on the shared care issue for Child Benefit cases. Did Barber take the case any further?

I have a client who has 50/50 residence order and is in same position as ex-partner i.e. they both go to college as mature students. He is having to claim JSA whilst she claims IS, CTC etc.

Any ideas on how to progress the case? My client doesn't want to change the status quo unless really necessary as he has established a good relationship with his ex.
