Debt Centre Manchester liaison group
Mon 02-Apr-07 02:31 PM

I'm putting this on site as I thought it might be of interest. I'd made a number of offical complaints on behalf of various clients as I assume a few of us have and received an invitation to a liaison meeting. It had been arranged as they'd agreed they'd not been as customer focused as they would have liked.

Some weeks ago I posted details of the first meeting arranged by Debt Centre (Manchester). A few of us attended - you'll see my name isn't on there but honestly I did go! - I think it was because me and another advisor (sorry can't remember your name) arrived a bit late as we had been sat in another room waiting for the wrong meeting!! This was despite us going to the room specified in the invitation. I thought what a good start eh?

Anyway it was good to get a few things off our chests and although it's only the beginning we're hoping we can make some real progress. It might be an idea if these went on all over the country.

I've already sent it to Rightsnet and Ken's done his bit and asked me to cut and paste it to the site so I hope this is going to work.

There are some links to the various docs I've received after the meeting which I assume the other attendees also got. They include minutes, some terms of reference and also a power point presentation which it looks like they did for CAB at some point although there was no explanation as to why it's been sent. Everything's here for your info.

I can't remember whether we agreed a date but am sure one of the other attendees will have a better memory than me. Then again it would have been in the minutes if we had arranged one. Once I know the date I'll post on this site again.

Just received an email for the second meeting to be held at Salford Quays on 12th June. Copied and pasted below so if anyone is interested they should contact Lynda Greenhalgh direct. I'm in Granada at the time and did think of cancelling so I could attend but Salford lost the toss.

Good afternoon,

I have booked the conference room for our 2nd liaison meeting on 12th June 10:00 to 13:00. If you are unable to attend would it be possible for another member of your team to attend in your place. Additionally do you know of any other organisations that might like to attend.

If you have any items for the agenda please let me have them by lunch time Friday 08th June.

Hope to see you all there

Lynda Greenhalgh
