Exemption from Work Focused Interviews
Tue 05-Jan-10 01:01 PM

Hello & Happy New Year to everyone.

Please excuse me if I am having a foolish moment but can someone please confirm the circumstances whereby someone is exempt from taking part in WFI when claiming incapacity benefits?

I have checked the Social Security (JC+ Interviews) Regs and it states you're exempt if you're over 60, working or entitled to/claiming JSA.

The Disability Alliance factsheet on WFI also states someone is exempt if they are exempt from the PCA- could someone tell me which regs that comes from?

Thanks in advance.

Actually- I think I've just found it. It's in the The Social Security (Incapacity Benefit Work-focused Interviews) Regulations 2003.

Sorry! Still getting back into the swing of things after Christmas
