Thought I understood this one but starting to doubt myself after 'discussions' with local DWP...

I know there is provision for someone to do another period of permitted work higher limit after 52 weeks of permitted work lower limit...

BUT can this 'gap' period be spent in the same job??? i.e. can you stay with the same employer throughout and simply cycle between £72 and £20 earnings limits?

Any definitive answers/ references to guidance etc. gratefully received
