Does anyone know whether the Hooper and others case has been heard in the House of Lords yet? If not, any more news when it is due? last I heard it was supposed to be on 25 Feb.

the lords allowed the appeals of the Secretary of State and found against the widowers

The Child Poverty Action Group report that White and Runkee v United Kingdom, a test case that they are taking which concerns the right of widowers to receive widows' pension before and after the introduction of bereavement benefits, had been stayed by the European Court of Human Rights pending the House of Lords judgment in Hooper.
