carers and cared for people
Wed 21-Nov-07 12:33 PM

I am getting a number of clients who are carers. They usually have no income other than benefits themselves and their cared for people are adults. How would I work out the applicable amount for a household with a carer and cared for person? The 2 adults live in the same household but are not a couple.

If they are not a couple, then it makes no difference whether they are otherwise related. You need to work out two applicable amounts for the two individuals. There is no household for benefit purposes.
