Is it true that an EEA national who no longer has a right to reside can get assistance from a loal authority with the costs of traveling to the EEA state they came from? If so could anyone direct me to the regs, guidance, further info etc.

Social Services can do this, but usually only when they have to when they have duties under the Childrens Act
