I don't have the document in front of me, so this is from memory. It refers to MP's, but inquiries from them will be dealt with by DWP in the same way as any other government department. Being an MP means that consent, assumed or otherwise is not required.

jim's memory is spot on.

the following is from page 4 of the DWP's Guide for staff on working with customer representatives -

'MP's - customers' own MPs are assumed to have consent to act and information can be disclosed in response to their enquiries.'
