AIP given, sells house, then awarded AA

I was wondering if anyone could help with this query.
Claimant on Guarantee Credit with AIP til 2010, moves into rented accomodation and sells house (gets £90'000) ignored, as AIP been given.
What if claimant is later awarded AA and wants the severe disability addition added into her GC award ??
It seems unfair that the capital from the sale of the house is then taken into account, so I'm assuming its not - this means that the award of the AA does not end the AIP - can anyone confirm??
So what about if claimant was originally on Savings Credit with AIP til 2010, and got some HB towards her rent - this would end when money from sale of house came through, although Savings Credit unaffected. She then gets awarded AA and claims Guarantee Credit as income (not includung tariff income from sale of house) is now below AA due to award of severe disability addition. As GC awarded, HB would also be awarded ????? Is this right????
Many thanks
