Does anyone out there have experience of the Australian benefit system?

I'm advising a family with two disabled children, who are on the verge of emigrating. Can't export DLA, as far as I can see, so would there be some kind of equivalent down under?

I had a look on the Australian government department website briefly, but was put off because it looked all different to the UK system.

Alternatively, does anyone know if Australians have welfare rights services who would be happy to take up the issue?

Thank you all for the helpful links. I've tried persuading the family involved to move to Stoke on Trent instead because it's easier, but now at least I can point them in a useful direction if they insist on Australia.
