take up work
Mon 26-Sep-05 02:07 PM

Hi, my name is Elaine. I’m working on a take-up campaign for people of age 60 and over in East Sussex, mainly for Pension Credit, but also checking entitlement for DLA, AA etc. The project is funded by the DWP, and is set to run for 2 years. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who is doing, or has done, the same sort of thing. It would be good to swop notes and I’m always keen to hear of new ideas for promoting take up for this age group, especially in rural areas.

Hello. My colleague and I have been working on a Pension Credit take-up project funded by the DWP for about the last 6 months.
Give us a ring anytime (Judith or John) - 0161 622 4384 - for some note swapping!

Got your message about the take up campaign Mike from Kings Lynn, but you didn't leave your telephone number! I'm away for the rest of this week, but I can ring you to discuss the project next week if you let me have your number.

Thanks.

Hi Elaine

My colleague and I are also funded by the Partnership Fund to promote uptake of Pension Credit for people over 60 with Learning Disabilities. We are in Scotland and trying to contact all the organisations who were also funded with the same idea of swoping notes and ideas. We are trying to promote take-up in East Lothian, Scotland which is mainly rural. My e-mail is lorrainec@elcap.org or you can telephone me on 01620 825 933 or mob 0783 426 7926

Regards

Lorraine

Elaine

Are you aware that if you identify AA/DLA eligibility for deaf or hearing impaired people that the Pension service will/should provide a supported home visit. I.e if you come across an eligible couple or person who is a BSL user they will arrange and pay for interpreters.
