Get involved in the first ever workforce survey.

The National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Legal Advice Project are asking advice workers across England and Wales to participate in a Workforce Survey.

The project - led by a coalition of representative bodies from across the Not-for-Profit, private and public sectors (including Advice Services Alliance, Advice UK, Age Concern, Citizens Advice, DIAL UK, Institute of Legal Executives, Law Centres Federation, Law Society, Legal Services Commission, Office of Immigration Services Commissioner, Refugee Council, Shelter, Shelter Cymru and Youth Access) - is a wide ranging initiative designed to support the development of individual competence of advisers in areas of social welfare such as welfare benefits and housing.

The survey will provide, for the first time, a comprehensive profile of who is providing legal information and advice in the Not-for-Profit, private and public sectors, and will describe the demographic profile, skills levels, training needs, gaps in expertise and obstacles to learning of volunteers and paid employees, advice-givers, managers and administrators across England and Wales.

Completing the confidential online questionnaire will help ensure that the picture developed of the sector is accurate.

The survey is available on the project website @ http://www.cubiks.ltd.uk/workforce/

Further details about the project are avaialble @ www.nos4advice.org.uk
