I have an appeal tribunal soon regarding the above - Has anyone had any success in proving this? Can you give me some ideas about tacticts. My client is a fairly eccentric man whose cohabitee (woman)of 26 years has died Aug 06. They considered themselves to be married although not legally - never took same name. Claimed benefits jointly. I'm looking at things like - did they send each other cards to husband/wife, community perception - maybe get some statements although 3 already been submitted by family members, religion? Do I need to get a date when he considered a "marriage" took place or a promise to one another..
