Had a client advise me that when she called up regarding a claim for ESA for her son she was asked during the application process if her son had a mental health problem or was he handicapped or retarded. What century is this? When she refused to agree to one of those definitions she was told well you won't be able to claim then. She said that her son had brain damage and the adviser said, will I put him down as having a mental health problem then? Apparently this is the terminology they have been instructed to use, kept that quiet didn't they.
