80% IS during an appeal and the Social Fund
Mon 17-Jan-05 12:24 PM

Hello

My client was on Incapacity Benefit and so cannot get a Social Fund CCG. However she has failed her Personal Capability Assessment and is claiming reduced rate Income Support while the appeal wheels grind on.

Can we make a CCG application while she is on reduced rate IS anmd before the appeal is heard?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Yes. Receipt of IS/IBJSA is a criteria for CCG - matters not that it is reduced. Should do before appeal is heard in case IB resinstated and IS stops.
