The tragedy is that it will continue to compound and worsen the very social ills (they have done so much to exacerbate, through there 30 years of retrograde policies) that so offend their 'dysfunctional punitive parent morality' .

It seems our moral guardians preoccupation with spending tax payers money prudently, e.g. agonising over artex ceilings, strange plumbing, confusion whether to pay tax or not to pay tax, getting us to pay for the pruning of the wisteria, deliveries of (well rotted, must be well rotted) horse manure, confusion over the tricky question of which of their homes is their second home, confusion whether they have a mortgage or don't have a mortgage etc etc etc.

Has shaped their Policies and Values, as well as their attitudes towards their own self-responsibility (i.e. i take responsibility, but none of the blame).
